Trying To Find Beauty In The World

I just got back from seeing 4 VERY VERY VERY good performances by even more talented bands for $5. The most worthwhile price for a show ever. It wasn't the most fun I've had at a show by far, but the music was awesome and the company was awesome (yay favorite roommate Bito and us being the only ones able to effectively appreciate those bands!!). I was so in it. Man. Innatrance, local Madison band....those guys should be on a fucking label. Man. Then Ludo...I love Ludo. They're just silly and nerdy and rocking and have a song about zombies attacking at the apocalypse.....how do you not like that???? Then Go Betty Go....girl rock. Very good girl rock. They inspired me. Their drummer was good, like really good. Its hard to find a girl drummer, its even harder to find a good one, and its even harder than that to find one better than this one. AMAZING. Then.......Vendetta Red. Promoing the new album so I didn't know a lot of the songs, the crowd was totally uninterested in rocking......but I felt good. I was front and center. The lead singer was touching my face at one point....he's very interactive with his crowd. They are SO fun to watch. They don't seem like they would be my type of band, but when that guy screams it makes me feel alive. (Sorry...VERY unintentional Avril reference in there). So I decided to ignore the crowd not having fun, and let the music be my high.....it's better than any drug in the world. If you ever have a chance to see that band in concert.....DO IT. So, so fucking amazing.

Talked to some of the boys from Ludo post show while buying their CD and trying to figure out how to work the credit card thingy. Went outside and the lead singer from VR was smoking so I talked for a while. He's a great guy. They all are. I love rockstars that keep their real people attitudes while still producing amazing music. Today was a good night. I feel great....inspired by the music and still riding the high. I'm sorry you all missed it. Please try to check it out sometime.
